Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

61 71 061 - Replacing (removing and installing) fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove level switch Service and Repair
- Remove window washer pump Removing and Installing/Replacing Window Washer Pump for Rear Window Washer Unit for rear window washer unit
- Remove window washer pump Removing and Installing/Replacing Windscreen Washer Pump
- If necessary, remove washer pump Service and Repair for headlight washer system





Release screws (1) on fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit.





Release screw (1) and remove fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit (3) in direction of arrow.
Detach filler hose (2) and remove fluid reservoir for windscreen washer unit (3).





Installation:
- Replace strainers on washer pumps
- Coat sealing rings of washer pumps with antiseize agent
- Lay lines of washer pumps without kinks and clip into holders on fluid reservoir
- Fill fluid reservoir
