SUBJECT
Replacement of the Parking Brake Module (EMF)

MODEL
E70 (X5)

SITUATION
After installing a replacement EMF unit (part number 34 43 6 782 205), the error message "Diagnostic trouble 1190 (CoApi) - Boot sector update not possible or not necessary" is displayed during the programming process.

CAUSE
The software level of the replacement EMF unit is not recognized by the Software Service Station (SSS).

CORRECTION
Program the vehicle using Progman Version V27.01 or higher.
