Removal Procedure of Front Seat Side Cover

SITUATION

If the front seat side cover is removed while the vehicle is in the workshop for any seat-related service, it can be easily damaged or broken. If the cover is then reinstalled, it can cause unpleasant noises.

CAUSE

The Repair Manual procedure "52 14 040, Removing and installing/replacing outer cover on left or right front seat" is incomplete.

PROCEDURE

Follow the attachment procedure below whenever the front seat side covers needs to be removed for any seat related repair.

The repair manual will be updated in a future ISTA version.
