Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

17 11 035 - Removing and installing/replacing fan cowl with electric fan (M47T2, M57T2)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove intake duct
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit
- Automatic only:
Remove front underbody protection Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Underbody Protection





Automatic only:
Release screw.
Unclip hose (1) from fan cowl.





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screw.
Unlock catch (2) and remove fan cowl (3) towards top.






Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
