Creaking Noise from the Left Side of the Center Console

SITUATION
A creaking noise can be heard from the front left console trim panel when driving on rough roads.
CAUSE
Component tolerances between the side trim and the center console bracket
PROCEDURE
Confirm the location of the creaking noise by pushing lightly on the center console trim, and then proceed to the next step.
1. Using Repair Instructions 51 16 160, remove the center console trim.
2. Place the console upside down on a clean work surface. Apply three felt strips (50mm x 15mm x 0.8mm) to the areas shown. Make sure the felt strips positioned inward far enough (3mm), so they are not exposed after reassembly. Install the modified console back into the vehicle. Quality check the effectiveness of the repair by pushing lightly on the trim again.
