SUBJECT: FRONT DOORS WON'T HOLD OPEN ON SLIGHT INCLINE/FRONT DOORS HARD TO OPEN (REPLACE DOOR HOLD OPEN SPRING)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 ROADMASTER ESTATE WAGON


CONDITION: 1. Front Doors Won't Hold Open on Slight Incline

2. Front Doors Hard To Open

CAUSE: Door hold open spring is too weak or too strong.

CORRECTION: Replace door hold open spring with P/N 20361482 prior to the VIN MW400236.

Note: Replace both RH and LH Front Door Hold Open Springs at time of repair.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

Spring Removal Tool: A loaner tool program has been set up through Kent-Moore. Just call 1-800-345-2233 and ask for J-39079-LNR.
