Battery Run Down Protection

Inadvertent Power Control output of the Multi-Function Alarm Module applies voltage to the Courtesy, Header, Reading, I/P Compartment and Luggage Compartment Lamps. Its output timer will shut off power to all of the above lamps with the Ignition Switch "OFF" after 18 to 22 minutes. If the vehicle has travelled less than 15 miles since battery voltage was applied to the module, the output timer will shut off the lamps after 2 to 4 minutes.

The Inadvertent Power Control output can be reset by opening or closing the Left Front door, turning the Ignition Switch to "RUN," or checking and shutting off any Interior Lamps that are turned on accidentally.
