Maintenance Required Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

Engine Oil Level Sensor
The PCM controlled warning lamps are intended to alert the driver to an operating condition which may require immediate attention. The ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR is used to detect low engine level condition.

The PCM commands the Low Oil Level Lamp ON if the engine oil level sensor indicates that low oil level condition exists. This lamp is PCM controlled only.
