Unlocking Secured Radio After A Power Loss
If battery power is removed for any reason, LOC will appear on the display when power is reapplied. The security code will need to be entered to unlock the system.1. Refer to, Enabling Theftlock (R). Follow steps 3 through 5.
2. Press the AM/FM after you are sure the code is correct.
^ "SEC" should now appear on the display. The System can now be used and it is secure.
^ After an initial eight failed tries to unlock, the unit will be in a second level LOCK condition and become inoperative for an hour. Any further code inputs during this hour will cause the display to indicate "INOP" for 15 seconds before returning to "LOC". Battery and ignition voltages must be present for an hour before the unit will reset to the "LOC" condition. The unit will then time out for an hour after every successive three incorrect entries.
If the security is activated and the radio is disconnected from battery power, the radio will display "LOC". The radio will not turn on until the correct unlocking code is entered. If the customer code is lost or unavailable, contact your local GM dealership or an authorized Delco radio service center for additional assistance.
