Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Tires having unequal contact and unequal grip on road surfaces cause unequal braking. Ensure that the tires meet the following requirements:
^ Equally inflated
^ Identical in size
^ The tread pattern of the right and left tires must be approximately equal.

VEHICLE LOADING
A heavily loaded vehicle requires more braking effort. On a vehicle with unequal loading, the most heavily loaded wheels require more braking effort than the other wheels.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Misalignment of the wheels, particularly excessive camber and caster, causes the brakes to pull to one side.

TRAILER TOWING
Towing a trailer requires longer braking distances and tends to overheat the brakes sooner.
