Check Gages Alarm

The BCM will activate an audible warning to alert the driver to check the cluster for any indicators illuminated. The IPC will send a class 2 message to the BCM requesting an audible warning for the associated IPC indicator. For information on indicator operation refer to Indicator/Warning Message Description and Operation.

The following warnings have an associated IPC indicator:
^ ABS
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ BRAKE
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ Charging System
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ Door/Trunk
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (single rate) and duration (four times).
^ Fasten Safety Belt Reminder
The BCM sounds the Fasten Safety Belt audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (slow rate) and duration (eight seconds).
^ Hot Coolant Temperature
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (every three seconds).
^ Low Coolant Level
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ LOW OIL PRESSURE
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (every three seconds).
^ Low Fuel
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ Low Oil Level
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ LOW TIRE
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ Service Traction System (TRAC OFF) The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
^ SERVICE VEHICLE SOON
The BCM activates the audible warning as requested by the IPC. The IPC sends a class 2 message to the BCM indicating the chime frequency (fast rate) and duration (four times).
