Sunroof Housing Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement - Front Sunroof Window Replacement - Front

2. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only perform the steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof) Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof)Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without Sunroof) Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without Sunroof).




3. Remove the front water drain hose from the housing connector.
Remove the 2 hoses.




4. Remove the rear water drain hose from the housing connector.
Remove the 2 hoses.

5. Disconnect the sunroof window motor electrical connector.




6. Remove the sunroof housing fasteners (1).

7. Remove the sunroof housing (2) assembly.

Installation Procedure

1. Transfers all parts as necessary.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Insert the sunroof housing assembly to the gauge pin location in the opening.
Tighten the three fasteners.




3. Install the sunroof housing (2) assembly with the remaining fasteners and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

4. Connect the sunroof window motor electrical connector.

5. Install the rear water drain hose actuation unit.
Connect the 2 hoses and apply tie straps if required.

6. Install the front water drain hose actuation unit.
Connect the 2 hoses and apply tie straps if required.

7. Install the sunroof window. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement - Front Sunroof Window Replacement - Front

8. Verify the operation of the sunroof.

9. Water test the vehicle before installing the headliner.

10. Install the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof) Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof)Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without Sunroof) Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Without Sunroof).
