Duplication of Keys - PASS-Key II

To copy a PASS-Key II ignition key, it necessary to first determine which key code (resistance value) is needed. The ignition key being copied must be tested to determine the key code. The key may be tested by using J 35628-A, PASS-Key II (VATS) Interrogator. To use J 35628-A, turn the tool on, make sure the tool wiring connectors are disconnected and insert the key into the tool lock cylinder. The "Key Code Reader" will display the key code of the ignition key. Obtain a key blank matching this key code and cut it to match the original key.
