Troubleshooting Hints - Power Windows
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Check operation of retained accessory power (RAP), refer Retained Accessory Power (RAP) for diagnosis. Accessory Delay Module
2. If all power windows are inoperative, check condition of WINDOWS circuit breaker (by operating astro roof, if equipped).
3. Windows are free of mechanical binding, refer to Doors. Doors, Hood and Trunk
4. If a rear window is inoperative from the master switch but works from the rear window switch, replace the master switch assembly.
5. If LH front windows express down is inoperative but the window operates when the switch is held, replace the master switch assembly.
6. If RH front window is inoperative from master switch but works from RH front window switch:
^ Check CKT 70 (PNK) for an open.
^ Check that master switch connectors are clean and tight.
^ If OK, replace master switch assembly.
7. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems. (Refer to "General Troubleshooting Procedures,"). Diagnostic Aids
