Compressor Fitting HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The compressor hose assembly is located between the compressor and the discharge hose at the LH front side of the engine compartment.

1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the compressor.
4. Remove the compressor hose quick connect fitting at the following locations:
^ The compressor/condenser hose.
^ The evaporator line extension.
5. Remove the compressor hose.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the compressor hose.
2. Install the compressor hose quick connect to the evaporator line extension:
^ Use new O-rings.
^ Lubricate the new O-rings with mineral oil, 525 viscosity.
3. Install the compressor hose quick connect to the compressor/condenser hose:
^ Use new O-rings.
^ Lubricate the new O-rings with mineral oil, 525 viscosity.
4. Install the compressor.
5. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
7. Leak check the A/C system.
8. Reprogram applicable accessories.
