Shift Speeds
The diagrams in the accompanying images show the Shift speed characteristic curves for the 4 forward gears in the driving position D with the economical driving and with the sporty driving.
The shift speed characteristic curves are generated from a scale of shift points. For example, with the economical driving, the transmission shifts from the 3rd gear to the 4th gear at a speed of 75 mph (120 km/h) when the throttle valve is half open (50%). In the following diagrams, the shift speed points of the converter clutch do not appear for reasons of clarity.
Table Key
For the two tables: Axis A is the Opening of the throttle valve in percentage; Axis B is the Vehicle speed in mph; the solid line is the Acceleration (shifting up); the dash line is the Deceleration (shifting down).
