Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Testing and Inspection

Circuit Description:
The DIC switch changes the DIC state by momentarily grounding one of three input circuits to the IPC. If the IPC receives more then one input at a time it disregards the command.

TroubleShooting Hints:
1. If the scan tool indicates the IPC status changes when a DIC switch is pressed:
A. Disconnect the DIC switch and connect a fused jumper from the DIC switch connector terminal 15 to 7 then 15 to 14 then 15 to 13.
B. If the DIC display changes state then replace the DIC switch. If the DIC display still does not change then replace IPC.
2. If the scan tool indicates the IPC status does not change when a DIC switch is pressed, check CKTs 151(BLK/WHT), 1816(ORN), 376(LT GRN), 894 (DK BLU) for open and DIC switch operation. If OK, replace IPC.
