Diagnostic Assistance and Parts Restriction on Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Components

Models:
1997 Cadillac DeVille, DeVille d'Elegance, DeVille Concours, Eldorado, Eldorado Touring Coupe (ETC), Seville Luxury Sedan (SLS), Seville Touring Sedan (STS)

This bulletin is being revised to remove the parts restriction on ABS EBTCM's. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 61-33-03A (Section 3 - Steering/Suspension).

Effective May 16, 1997, the following CVRSS service parts will be released from restriction.

(STS/ETC/Concours)

Dealers will no longer be required to call the Delphi Chassis Technical Assistance System to obtain parts for the CVRSS system. However, Cadillac Technical Assistance (Cadstar) will still be available to aid in diagnosis of a problem.

At this time, dealerships may begin to order and stock the released ABS EBTCM'S through normal GMSPO channels.
