Actuator Motor Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURECruise Control Cable Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Remove the cruise control cable from the actuator clip (2).

2. Twist the cruise control cable guide tube 1/4 turn counterclockwise in order to remove from the actuator.

3. Remove the cruise control cable end from the actuator ribbon, being careful not to twist the ribbon.
4. Slide the evaporative emission filter/solenoid off of the RH strut tower mounting bracket.
5. Slide down the evaporative emission filter/solenoid hose clamp about 76.2 mm (3.0 in).
6. Remove the hoses.
7. Swing the evaporative emission canister up and out of the way.

8. Remove the nuts from the actuator mounting studs.
9. Lift the actuator up and out of the engine compartment in order to access the harness connector.

10. Disconnect the harness connector (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Actuator Motor Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Connect the actuator connector (1).
2. Position the actuator (2) in the engine compartment.
Actuator Motor Replacement: Removal Procedure:
3. Install the nuts on the actuator mounting studs.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
4. Swing the evaporative emission canister into position.
5. Install the evaporative emission filter solenoid hoses.
6. Slide up the hose clamp to the original position.
7. Slide the evaporative emission filter/solenoid onto the RH strut tower mounting bracket.
Cruise Control Cable Replacement: Removal Procedure:
8. Install the cruise control cable end to the actuator ribbon, being careful not to twist the ribbon.
Cruise Control Cable Replacement: Installation Procedure:
9. Twist the guide tube 1/4 turn clockwise in order to install on the actuator.
10. Adjust the cruise control cable.
