Battery Replacement




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the battery isolator.
2. Open the electrical center cover and push the tab to release the electrical center from the battery.
3. Remove the negative/positive cables from the battery:
^ Loosen the clamp bolts.
^ Use a twisting motion in order to release the cable from the battery.
^ Use a universal puller it the cables do not easily release.
4. Remove the isolator.
5. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt (1).
6. Remove the retainer (2).
7. Remove the battery (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the battery (3).
2. Install the retainer (2).
3. Install the retainer bolt (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

4. Install the isolator.
5. Install the positive/negative cables to the battery.

Tighten
Tighten the cable clamp bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

6. Close the isolator.
7. Position the electrical center located above the battery.
8. Program all applicable accessories.
