Condition
Some owners may comment that the AM radio reception is poor, there is static on strong stations or they are not able to receive many stations.
Cause
This condition may be caused by the antenna amplifier, antenna cable and/or cable routing.
Correction
To repair this condition, replace the antenna cable and antenna amplifier. The antenna cable has a gray coating (instead of black) and will be routed along the right side of the car away from the electrical conduit. The antenna amplifier, which is located under the rear parcel shelf trim, was colored either blue or green, while the new one is colored light gray for identification purposes.
