Washer Fluid

The windshield washer solvent level indicator lamp is controlled by the washer solvent level switch. The level switch is located in the washer solvent container. The level switch consists of a floating device and a reed contact that is normally switched to ground when the washer solvent level is greater than 1/3 full. When the washer solvent level goes below the minimum level, the reed contacts open signaling the gauge cluster to ground the indicator bulb.
