iPhone, iPod Cable Missing, Inoperative, Compatibility, Firmware, Software, Shareware - Required Firmware/Software and Cable Availability

with U2S or UAV Radio
The iPod feature works with iPods released after September 2005 and includes the following iPod models:
iPod Nano (1GB, 2GB or 4GB)
iPod with video (5th generation ipod) 30GB or 60 GB
iPod Nano 2nd Generation 2GB, 4GB or 8GB
iPod with video (5.5 Generation ipod) 30GB or 80GB
These devices may have many different firmware numbers. Therefore, General Motors recommends iPods be used with the latest firmware for best compatibility with the U25 or UAV radio.
In September 2007, Apple released software version 1.0.1 for the iPhone with makes the iPhone compatible with the U2S or UAV radio.
The iPod and iPhone must utilize the MP3 Cable which is shipped with the CTS. MP3 cables are now available through GMSPO if a second/replacement cable is necessary. The replacement cable is NOT covered under the terms of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty and is the responsibility of the dealership or customer.
