Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the radio harness connector X4 and amplifier harness connector X3.
2. Test for less than 1 volt on the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and ground.

If greater than specified value, test for a short to voltage.

3. Test for greater than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and ground.

If less than specified value, test for a short to ground.

4. Test for less than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and the amplifier harness connector terminal 13.

If greater than specified value, test for an open/high resistance.

5. Test for less than 1 volt on the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 17 and ground.

If greater than specified value, test for a short to voltage.

6. Test for greater than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 17 and ground.

If less than specified value, test for a short to ground.

7. Test for less than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 17 and the amplifier harness connector terminal 5.

If greater than specified value, test for an open/high resistance.

8. If all circuits test normal, replace the radio.
