Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

Lefthand Side

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove left air distribution duct.
3. Remove lens to bezel attaching screws and the lens.
4. Remove cluster to instrument panel attaching screws.
5. Pull cluster rearward slightly, then disconnect speedometer cable and electrical connectors.
6. Remove cluster from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install.

Center Cluster

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove console tunnel side panels.
3. Remove radio knobs.
4. Remove two screws securing console trim plate to instrument cluster, Fig. 16.
5. Remove rear window defogger switch, if equipped, from console trim plate.
6. Remove five screws from upper perimeter of instrument cluster.
7. Pull instrument cluster outward slightly and disconnect electrical connectors.
8. Remove cluster from vehicle.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
