Removal and Replacement

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and detent/T.V. cable from throttle. Remove filler tube and air cleaner.

2. Raise vehicle and remove propeller shaft.

3. Disconnect speedometer cable, electrical lead to case, oil cooler pipe and the shift linkage.

4. Support transmission with a suitable jack and remove the four rear transmission support bolts.

5. Remove nuts securing catalytic converter bracket to support.

6. Remove torque converter under pan.

7. Remove converter to flywheel bolts.

8. Lower transmission slightly and remove engine to transmission bolts.

9. Raise transmission and move rearward, then lower from vehicle.

10. Reverse procedure to install.
