A noise or rattle condition may occur on some 1987 Cavalier models with the 2.0L engine. The noise may be interpreted by the driver as a rattle or buzzing noise coming from the instrument or dash panel area. The noise could be originating with the A/C liquid line vibrating against the emission and purge tubes at the right front of the engine compartment.
To repair the condition, install a clamp on the liquid line as shown in the figure. Use clamp, part: number 14036435 and screw part number 11509135, installed in the existing hole at the point indicated.
