Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
The "CHECK ENGINE" light will only be "ON" if the malfunction exists under the conditions listed below. It takes up to five seconds for the light to come "ON" when a problem occurs. If the malfunction clears, the light will go out and an intermittent trouble code will be set in the ECM. Code 12 does not store in memory. Any codes stored will be erased if no problem reoccurs within 50 engine starts.The trouble codes are as follows:

Code 23 Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) Sensor (Signal Voltage High)
Code 24 Vehicle Speed Sensor
Code 25 Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) Sensor (Signal Voltage Low)
Code 31 Turbocharger Wastegate Control Failure (Over Boost)
Code 33 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Voltage High
Code 34 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Signal Voltage Low
Code 42 Electronic Spark Timing (EST)
Code 43 Electronic Spark Control (ESC) (Knock Control Failure)
Code 44 Lean Exhaust Indication
Code 45 Rich Exhaust Indication
Code 51 PROM Failure
