This bulletin is notification of a correction to the service manual that Type A transmission fluid is used in folding top hydraulic systems. The Body Service Manual currently recommends that the hydraulic system of the folding top on convertibles should use either mineral oil or high grade brake fluid. Since 1984, Type A transmission fluid has been used in these systems. If it is necessary to add fluid to a system, determine whether mineral oil, brake fluid or transmission fluid was originally used. A label should be present to identify the original fluid.

Do not intermix fluids.
