All 1988 Cavalier models with 2.0L engines have the orifice tube located in the condenser outlet pipe. The orifice, part number 3096068, is unique for this application only and can be readily identified by the red colored inlet end.

Special caution must be used in servicing and replacing this orifice tube. The inlet or red end must be inserted into the condenser outlet.

Failure to use the correct orifice tube or follow proper installation of new tube may result in restriction of liquid line and subsequent replacement of liquid line.
