Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

When installing radio, be sure to adjust antenna trimmer for peak reception. Also, be sure to connect speaker before applying power to radio.



1984---88

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and remove instrument cluster as outlined.
2. Remove accessory trim plate retaining screws and trim plate.
3. Remove screws securing radio and bracket, and pull radio away from dash.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors and antenna lead, then remove radio.
5. Reverse procedure to install, ensuring A/C center outlet seal is properly positioned.
