Clutch: Description and Operation
The clutch release mechanism on these models is hydraulically operated, and is not adjustable. When the clutch pedal is depressed, the pedal push rod contacts a plunger in the
clutch master cylinder bore. The plunger first closes off the master cylinder fluid return port, then when moved further, forces fluid under pressure into the
clutch slave cylinder. As pressure is applied to the slave cylinder, the slave cylinder piston is forced outward activating the
clutch release fork.
