Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Description and Operation

Brake Disengagement Switch:

When the brake pedal is depressed, the brake disengagement switch illuminates the stop lights and disengages the cruise function. One set of electrical contacts operates the stop lights, the other set operates the cruise disengage function. The stop light section of the switch also sends a disengage signal to the control module.
