Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

Air Distribution Components:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant from A/C system.
3. Drain cooling system.
4. Raise vehicle.
5. Heater hoses at heater core.
6. Evaporator lines at evaporator core.
7. Drain tube elbow.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Right and left sound insulators, steering column trim cover.
10. Heater outlet and glove box.
11. Heater core.
12. Screws holding defroster vacuum actuator to module case.
13. Evaporator cover and evaporator core.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Evaporator core and evaporator cover.
2. Defroster vacuum actuator to module case.
3. Heater core.
4. Heater outlet and glove box.
5. Right and left sound insulators, steering column trim cover.
6. Raise vehicle.
7. Drain tube elbow.
8. Evaporator lines at evaporator core.
9. Heater hoses at heater.
10. Lower vehicle.
11. Fill cooling system.
12. Negative battery cable.
13. Evacuate, charge, and leak test A/C system.
