The ABS II system has its own wiring harness, located in rear storage compartment behind drivers seat. This harness is connected to the standard wiring harness. The wiring harness, Fig. 4, provides a path for inputs from the wheel speed sensors, lateral acceleration switch, power and stop light switch to control module and output signals from the control module to the modulator valve and warning lamps.
The module relay is installed in circuit between battery, fuse and control module. This relay protects the control module from possible excessive voltage spikes, due to a faulty alternator.
The fuse located in the main fuse panel labeled BRAKE, provides protection for main power feed circuit of the ABS electrical system. The GAGE fuse is also tied into the main power feed of the ABS.
