Engine: Service and Repair



Engine Removal


Remove

1. Battery cables.
2. Coolant.
3. Air cleaner assembly.
4. Hood.
5. Engine harness connector.
6. Hoses.

- Vacuum
- Radiator
- Heater

7. A/C compressor - hoses attached.
8. Generator and bracket.
9. Engine torque strut.
10. Linkage, throttle and transaxle.
11. Transaxle to engine bolts except two upper bolts.
12. Raise vehicle.
13. Engine mount to frame nuts.
14. Exhaust pipe.
15. Flywheel cover.
16. Torque converter to flywheel bolts.
17. Starter motor.
18. Power steering pump - hoses attached.
19. Fuel line
20. Bolts, rear support bracket
21. Support transaxle.
22. Transaxle from engine.


Install


1. Engine.
2. Remove lifting device.
3. Transaxle to engine.
4. Remove transaxle support.
5. Rear support bracket bolts.
6. Engine mount nuts.
7. Bolts, rear transaxle bracket.
8. Fuel line.
9. Power steering pump.
10. Starter motor.
11. Converter to flywheel bolts.
12. Flywheel cover.
13. Exhaust pipe.
14. Engine torque strut.
15. Generator and bracket.
16. A/C compressor.
17. Hoses

- Heater
- Radiator
- Vacuum

18. Linkage, throttle and transaxie (at EFI and intake manifold).
19. Engine harness connector.
20. Hood.
21. Coolant.
22. Battery cables.
23. Air cleaner.


Inspect

- For proper fluid levels
- For fluid leaks
