Condition: Recent investigations indicate that some doors are being realigned in the field to lower the door, even to the roof opening surfaces.
Figure 1:
Correction: Figure 1 shows the correct alignment specifications for the door with regard to gap and flushness.
Doors Should Not be aligned to even out the top of the door to the roof panel.
A potential loss of weatherstrip contact will result if doors are lowered and may create one or all of the following conditions to occur:
- Windnoise
- Waterleaks
- High Closing Effort
