Universal Theft Deterrent (Utd) Systems
Arming
The arming sequence begins when Ignition is "OFF" and one of the doors is opened. The "Security" Indicator will flash "ON" & "OFF." When one of the Door Locks is moved to the "LOCK" position, momentary voltage is applied to terminal "C4" of the Central Control Module (CCM), gray connector. The "Security" Indicator will stop flashing but remain "ON." When the door is closed, ground is removed from terminal "C12" (LH Door) or terminal "D16" (RH Door) of CCM, gray connector. The system is now armed, and the "Security" Indicator will remain "ON" for a few seconds, then turn "OFF."
Cancellation
The system may be canceled by moving either Door Lock to the "UNLOCK" position before closing the door. When moving to the "UNLOCK" position, a momentary voltage is applied to the CCM unlock input, terminal "C5" (gray connector), thus disarming the system.
