Backrest

Power Seat With Lumbar Support System:

The Backrest function is operated by depressing the Backrest Control Switch for the direction desired. Voltage is then applied from the PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker to the Backrest Control Switch, and then to the Backrest Adjust Motor. Depending on the polarity of the voltage applied to the motor, the Backrest will tilt forward or back.

The Bolster function operates similarly to the Backrest function. However, the polarity of the voltage applied to the motor determines whether the bolsters move in or out.

The Lumbar Support function operates by depressing the Lumbar Control Switch. This applies battery voltage to the Lumbar Control Pump/Motor, which inflates the three Lumbar Support Bladders located in the seat back cushion. The three buttons below the switch act as bleed-valves. The top button bleeds the top bladder, the middle button bleeds the middle bladder, and the bottom button bleeds the bottom bladder.

The motors for adjusting the Backrest and bolsters are protected by Circuit Breakers. These will open the circuit in case of an overload to protect the motor. The Circuit Breakers reset automatically when they cool.
