Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Condenser:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, refer to Disabling the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming
2. Recover refrigerant from A/C system.
3. Radiator air upper baffle.
4. Air cleaner assembly.
5. Engine cooling fan.
6. Forward discriminating sensor.
7. Evaporator tube from condenser outlet.
8. A/C compressor and condenser hose from condenser inlet.
9. Screws attaching condenser to radiator.
10. Bolts and radiator upper mounting brackets.
11. Condenser from vehicle by tipping radiator toward engine.

NOTICE: If replacing evaporator, refer to Refrigerant Oil Distribution. Capacity Specifications

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Condenser into position by tipping radiator toward engine.
2. Radiator upper mounting brackets and bolts.
3. Screws attaching condenser to radiator.
4. A/C compressor and condenser hose to condenser inlet.
5. Evaporator tube to condenser outlet.
6. Forward discriminating sensor.
7. Engine cooling fan.
8. Air cleaner assembly.
9. Radiator air upper baffle.
10. Enable the SIR system, refer to Enabling the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming
11. Evacuate, charge and leak test A/C system.
