Without Daytime Running Lamps
HEADLIGHTSVoltage is applied to the Headlight Switch at all times. The Headlight Switch includes a self-resetting circuit breaker. When the Headlight circuit draws too much current, the circuit breaker opens, interrupting the current flow. With no current flow, the circuit breaker cools and resets automatically. When the Headlight Switch is in "HEAD," the Headlight Dimmer Switch directs voltage to either the LO Beams or HI Beams. The HI Beam Indicator receives voltage along with the HI Beams.
FOG LIGHTS
The Fog Lights are controlled by the Fog Light Switch. They can be turned "ON" with the Park Lights or LO Beam Headlights "ON." When the HI Beam Headlights are turned "ON," the Fog Lights go out.
The Fog Light Relay controls battery voltage to the Fog Lights. The Fog Light Switch applies voltage to the relay coil. The relay coil is grounded through the HI Beam Headlight filaments. When the HI Beams come "ON," battery voltage is at both sides of the relay coil. The relay de-energizes the Fog Lights turn "OFF."
