Theft Deterrent System
1. If the Theft Deterrent System operates normally using the Power Door Lock Switches but not with the PKE Transmitter, refer to Body Electrical section.2. Make sure KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING operates properly.
3. Make sure ground G106 is clean and tight.
4. Check for the following Central Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) being set.
- Codes 51-54
- Codes 61-63
5. Make sure Horns operate properly.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check.
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
6. Make sure the Power Door Lock system works normally using the Power Door Lock Switches.
7. If alarm sounds when Passive Keyless Entry Transmitter is brought into range, check for short to ground in CKT 264.
