Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights Dimming

1. Check to see if Central Control Module (CCM) Codes 71, 72, 73 or 74 are set before proceeding. If set, refer to Body Electrical section for diagnosis.
2. Make sure Park Lights turn "ON" and "OFF" normally before proceeding with diagnostics, refer to Exterior Lights for Park Lights diagnosis.
3. If Panel Lights stay "ON" all the time, but Park Lights operate normally, repair short B+ in CKT 44, CKT 8 or CKT 1458.
4. Make sure grounds G201 and G202 are clean and tight.
5. If one Panel Lamp does not operate, check the GRY (or GRY/BLK) and BLK wires to suspect Panel Lamp for opens, bent terminals, etc. If OK, replace Panel Lamp bulb.

^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check.
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
