Interior Lamps

Voltage is applied at all times from CTSY Fuse to each component in the circuit. The Dome and Reading Lamp circuits are completed through the Light Switch or any Door Jamb Switch. The Underhood and Luggage Compartment Lamps have a Mercury Switch built into the assembly which closes to ground when the Hood or Trunk Lid is opened. The I/P Compartment Light and Cigar Lighter are connected to ground through individual switches (see schematics).

DELAYED ILLUMINATION
The Interior Lights will come "ON" for approximately 30 seconds when the last door is closed (Dome Light Switch "OFF") or when the Dome Light Switch is moved to "OFF" (all doors closed). This feature is a product of the Headlight Switch.
