Tailgate Lock Without Power Door Locks
Battery voltage from Circuit Breaker #3 is applied at all times to the End Gate Lock Relay through CKT 1740. Battery voltage from I/P Fuse #29 is applied at all times to the Rear Glass Release/Tailgate Lock Switch through CKT 1940. The End Gate Lock Relay is permanently grounded at G201.When the Rear Glass Release/Tailgate Lock Switch is pushed to the "LOCK" position, battery voltage is applied to the End Gate Lock Relay through CKT 195. This energizes the relay, which then applies battery voltage from Circuit Breaker #3 to the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 295. Ground is provided to the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 294 and the End Gate Lock Relay. The End Gate Lock Actuator will lock the Tailgate.
When the Rear Glass Release/Tailgate Lock Switch is pushed to the "UNLOCK" position, battery voltage is applied to the End Gate Lock Relay through CKT 194. This energizes the relay, which then applies battery voltage from Circuit Breaker #3 to the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 294. Ground is provided to the End Gate Lock Actuator through CKT 295 and the End Gate Lock Relay. The End Gate Lock Actuator will rotate in the opposite direction and unlock the Tailgate.
