Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:
1. Check that the mirror is getting power from I/P Fuse Block Fuse #13 by observing that the label on the mirror "ON" indicator is illuminated.
2. Check the Backup Lamp Switch and I/P Fuse Block Fuse #6 by checking operation of the Backup Lamps.
3. Be sure photocells are not dirty or obstructed.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
