Troubleshooting Hints - Lumbar Seats
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS:IMPORTANT: To avoid misdiagnosis, inspect pneumatic lines for pinched, broken or disconnected conditions which would result in system failure.
1. Replace I/P Circuit Breaker #3 with a known good 30A circuit breaker.
2. Make sure that ground G201 is clean and tight.
3. For repeated Power Seat Pneumatic Control Module failures, check CKT 769 for short to B+.
4. Check Driver and Passenger Seat Lumbar In-line Fuse. If open, check appropriate CKT 21 for a short to ground.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems refer Diagnostic Aids. Diagnostic Aids
