Circuit Operation - Interior Lights Dimming

Voltage is applied at all times through the PK/TURN Fuse to the Turn/Hazard-Headlight Switch Assembly. With the Headlight Switch in PARK or HEAD, voltage is applied through the INST LPS Fuse to terminal D of the Lamp Dimmer Module and to terminal B of the Panel Dimmer Switch. Turning the Panel Dimmer Switch between LO and HI varies the voltage at terminal C. The Lamp Dimmer Module senses the voltage at terminal B and provides a variable voltage at terminal C with higher current (using current through terminal D) to light the Instrument Panel Lights. With the Panel Dimmer Switch moved to OFF the Instrument Panel Lights will turn off. This will also disable the Lights-on warning.
