Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

1. Remove steering wheel as outlined under Steering Wheel. Refer to Steering and Suspension/Steering.
2. Remove turn signal switch as outlined under Turn Signal Switch. Refer to Turn Signals.
3. Remove windshield wiper switch as outlined under Windshield Wiper Switch. Refer to Wiper and Washer System.
4. Remove ignition switch to ignition switch housing attaching screws.
5. Depress ignition switch locking tab, then disconnect switch electrical connectors.
6. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure lock cylinder shaft aligns with slotted opening on ignition switch.
b. Torque ignition switch attaching screws to 21 inch lbs.
