Circuit Operation

Voltage is applied at all times through the Hatch Fuse to the Deck Lid Release Relay. When either Deck Lid Release Switch is operated, ground is provided to the Deck Lid Release Relay coil. The coil is energized and the relay contacts close. Voltage is then applied to the LH and RH Deck Lid Release Solenoids. The solenoids energize and the Deck Lid releases.

The Deck Lid Release Switches are grounded through the Park Brake Switch (Manual Transmission) or Transmission Position Switch (Automatic Transmission).
